Love is Not a Holiday

No expense is spared on February 14th. While many get swept up in the fanfare; there are many that are left out of the festivities. When a relationship fails or a loved one passes away it is hard for people to embrace what this day has grown to represent. Some of us are experiencing financial hardships and simply cannot afford to invest in the commercialism. Bottom line, Valentine’s Day is not what it is cracked up to be. More emphasis should be place on how we demonstrate love, affection, and consideration every day. Love, in its purest form, is expressed through acts of kindness; how we simply treat one another. Love is not a holiday or something that can be wrapped with a bow. Every day we should love more, love greater.

I affirm today to demonstrate love towards those that cross my path.
