In the beginning it is easy to wake up energized and enthusiastic about facing the day and working towards your goal. Running off of adrenaline, the wind as at your back, and the sun is on your face. Then you hit the wall; not enough time in the day, unforeseen circumstances, and the burdens of life slow you down in your tracks. It happens to everyone and it happened to me. My blog is the perfect example of how I fell short in one area in the pursuit of my dream. I cannot remember the last time I have posted because it has been that long ago. What do you do when you fall short?
Acknowledge – Be aware of what areas in your life or of your dream you have neglected.
Forgive – Forgive yourself for not being in the mental space to keep the momentum going.
Get started – Take small, deliberate steps towards fixing what is broken or to work towards your dream.
Remember – Creating a better life for yourself or working towards a goal is similar to running a race; it is not an 100 yard dash but is more like a marathon.
Recommit – Decide within yourself that no matter how long it takes or what it takes you are going to be victorious.
Before you know it you will get a second wind and reaching your goal will be within your reach once again.
