The first time a dream presents itself it is vivid, crystal clear. It’s as if we can just reach out and touch it. Optimism and hope know no bounds. As we seek after what we see sometimes life gets in the way. Obstacles cloud our view of what use to be easily seen. What has changed from when the dream was first introduced to now is our point of view. Most dreams take work and time before they materialize and in the process the concerns of life dull our belief in what is still possible. The premise of the dream has not changed; however, our view of the world as it relates to our dream may have. Let’s think of challenges as being the base of a mountain or the valley and our dream as the mountain top. Our goal should be to think and look at life from the top of the mountain. If we place too much energy on the low areas in our lives we will lose focus of what the mountain top (our dream) has to offer. We must take the lessons learned in the lowest times in our life and climb higher to reach your dream. It’s all a matter of our point of view.
I affirm today to change my point of view. I will use challenges as lessons on the path to reaching my dreams.
